LAST 40 TEE-OFF TIMES UP FOR AUCTION

With less than three weeks to go before the golf day, 40 tee-off times have been made available for auction.  If you haven’t yet booked a time,

The beneficiaries of the proceeds of the golf day will be:

• Dullstroom Orphans and Vulnerable Children
• The Belfast Children’s Home
• Dullsieland Pre-School - Dullstroom
• Birchcroft Preparatory School – Dullstroom

The golf day is being organised by a committee consisting of parents from Dullsieland and Birchcroft and the proceeds of the golf day will be used to fund the acquisition of priority educational assets for all four institutions.   

It is hoped that Highland Gate Charity Classic golf day will become an annual event dedicated to improving the standard of educational facilities in the community and your support for this worthy cause would be appreciated.

GOLF DAY FORMAT

The golf day is to be staged on Sunday 27^th April.  With the Monday a public holiday, it is hoped that many visitors to the Dullstroom area over this long weekend will take advantage of this opportunity to experience the visual and golfing wonder that is the Highland Gate golf course.  

As only nine holes will be available for play, fourball tee-off times will commence at 07h30 and continue until 14h30 at ten minute intervals.  As the golf club is not fully operational, no golf carts will be available for hire.  

It is expected that the last fourball will complete their nine holes at around 17h00, and the prize giving function will commence at 18h00.  

Players will receive a refreshment pack on commencement of their round and a light meal will be served at the function marquee once they have completed their round,  Dinner will be served at the prize giving and families and friends are welcome to attend the function, at a cost of R120 for adults and R60 for children under 12.  

Prizes are to be awarded for the following competitions:

• Male, female and junior individual stableford
• Male, female and mixed betterball
• Fourball alliance, two scores to count
• Male longest drive on the 4th, female on 5th
• Closest to hole on the 3rd

Children’s entertainment and care facilities will be provided at the function marquee during the course of the day.  A cash bar and light meals will be available in the function marquee during the course of the day.  

Apart from the competition prize giving at the evening function, Highland Gate Golf Club has donated an individual golf club membership valued at R25 000 to be auctioned at the function, together with other high value sponsored items.

SPONSORSHIP

Sponsorship opportunities are available for each of the nine holes and the registration area, as well as for the competition prizes.  Sponsors will be able to brand their sponsored areas and will receive branding exposure on all golf day marketing collateral.  

Sponsorship of any of the holes or the registration area is priced at R4 000 (ex Vat) and includes a fourball tee-off time.

TEE-OFF TIME SALES

Off the 172 tee-off times available, 40 are reserved for sponsors and 100 will be sold to individuals on a first-come-first-served basis through the organising committee.  The remaining 32 tee-off times will be auctioned to the highest bidders through an online auction process.  Details of the auction will be made available at a later stage.  

The tee-off times are priced at R250 per spot and your tee-off time can be secured through depositing the purchase price into the following account, using your initial, surname and the letters HGCCGD as a reference.

Proof of payment, together with contact details, should be e-mailed to markg@highlandgate.co.za or faxed to 086 616 3351.  Confirmation of receipt and notification of tee-off times will then be e-mailed to you, together with an order form for additional prize giving function tickets and tournament golf shirt and caps purchases.
